Casa Azul is situated in the countryside midway between the traditional village of Moncarapacho and the fishing-port town of Olhão with its bustling markets, restaurants and off-shore sandy islands. Within walking distance of the village of Quelfes this delightful cottage is set in the grounds of the main house which, surrounded by oleander, olive and carob trees is also home to a small herd of alpacas who wander in the adjoining paddocks under the almond trees.

Open plan and airy, the guest cottage has retained its traditonal feel with pole and cane ceilings and wooden shutters. It has a large covered veranda with BBQ for outside dining, private patios and on a slightly higher terrace, guests are welcome to use the healthy salt-water swimming pool and pool terrace.
Guests have use of the 9x4m salt water swimming pool and pool terrace, shared with the owners. The small herd of 10 alpacas live in the paddocks. These beautiful animals are kept for their luxurious wool and calm and curious nature.
		The guest cottage has a large covered verandah with BBQ, furnished with table and chairs for outside dining. Additionaly there is a private patio with day bed for siestas, and a large sun-bathing terrace with loungers and parasol. Separate parking area on the lower side of the cottage.
Comfortable double sofa bed, chairs and TV. Wood burning stove with fuel supplied from November to March. Large patio doors lead onto the covered veranda.

Accommodation
Bedrooms:	Spacious bedroom area with double bed, wardrobes and bedside tables. Ceiling fan.
Bathrooms:	Shower room with shower, WC, wash basin. Shaver point, hair dryer. Electric room heater.
Kitchen:	Spacious and well equipped kitchen area with marble work tops. Gas hob, microwave, fridge, toaster. Dining table and chairs.
Living Rooms:	Comfortable double sofa bed, chairs and TV. Wood burning stove with fuel supplied from November to March. Large patio doors lead onto the covered veranda.
Cleaning/towels/ linen/maid service:	Bed linen and towels are provided and changed weekly. Guests need only to bring pool/beach towels.

Notes on accommodation
The cottage is open plan but the bedroom and sofa-bed may be curtained off for extra privacy if preferred. English owners live in the main house and are happy to help with any enquiries you may have.

Coast / Beach
There are many beaches to choose from within a short driving distance. The nearest ones are formed as off-shore islands located in the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve and reached by passenger ferries which travel regularly from Olhão, Fuseta and Tavira.

Golf
The Algarve is renowned for its beautiful golf courses many within easy reach of Casa Azul, these include Maragota just 15 mins away, Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima.

Travel
The local airport is Faro and is just 20 mins away. Car hire is recommended and is available at the airport.

Distances
Within 10 min. walk to the village of Quelfes, with basic shop, cafes and church. 10 min drive to Olhão with the largest fresh fish, fruit and veg. market in the Algarve, restaurants and supermarkets. Picturesque Tavira is 20 mins. away. Spain 30 mins.
