SITUATION The cottage is situated alone in a quiet position beside a river and country lane, on the edge of a pretty hamlet. This is a lovely rural area, ideal for walks, cycling and fishing all on the front door step. Our cottage is situated close to the Loire Valley.

LOCATION The attractive town of Thouars is 10 minutes away where you will find all amenities. As ther cottage is situated close to the Loire Valley - Poitou Charentes border , it is easy to explore two different areas of France. Very close by is an excellent zoo at Doue la Fontaine. At Loire Valley, apart from the beautiful river and great restaurants, you will also find the medieval town of Saumur, home of the famous sparkling wine and the Cardre Noir equestrian team. Nearby is Fontevraud Abbey, the largest monastic complex in Europe and the final resting place of Richard the Lionheart.

ACCOMMODATION The cottage has a spacious kitchen, and large lounge with a wood burner set into the wall. Stairs lead to the 4 bedrooms - 2 double, 2 twin. Shower room. WC. Duvets. The fenced garden catches the sun all day and is fringed by a wood. A BBQ is provided.

THINGS TO DO If you like gardens you will love the outstanding parks and gardens open to the public, and the superb chateaux Poitou Charentes is a delight of unexpected and changing landscapes, with an abundance of sunflowers in between. With a wealth of scenery, from beautiful sandy beaches to inland waterways, ancient churches to ultra-modern buildings it has something for everyone. Within easy reach of the cottage is the futuristic world of Futuroscope theme park.
